I really like these fish. They hide in the castles but come out in the mornings and evenings at feeding time. They love shrimp and krill but not scallops. They share their homes with Sun cats and other cats. Is there a way to keep their scales looking nice? They might be scraping with the catfish. The Africans, gar and Aro do not bother them.

Nice CKs! The only way to protect them from getting scrapes is having no sharp or jagged edge things in the tank.

absolutely beautiful. I wish I had never traded mine in. I too prefer the markings your chitala display over any other pattern. Keep them healthy, happy and well fed and they will grow to be magnificent creatures. Don't go broke on live food!

Thanks, I think the ceramic castles might be scraping them but I can't be sure. They came with my tanks and I just kept them as hiding places.

Thanks everyone. I agree that the gravel is not great but it came with the tank and I didn't want to recycle the aquarium. It is a 120.
