My clown knife. Need some help!

He has been very shy lately. Usually when it is time for feeding he is practically ripping the blood worms out of my hand. Now he comes out after it settles at the bottom and eats a fraction of what he used to. just moved some things around in the tank. Could that be the cause? Should I be worried?

It feels like a new environment for them once you re arrange the tank. Once he establishes a new territory or comfort zone, he should perk up a little more. Keep in mind knifefish are a nocturnal species as well and will be less active during the day.

He'll be fine, give him some time to get used to the new arrangment.

Okay thank you. Yeah when I first got him he was pretty shy. But after a week or too he started staying out for most of the day and eating like a pig. He usually swims to the front of the tank when he sees me. But he hides in the castle now. I will give him some time and keep the forum updated. Thank you for your response

Over time your knifefish will learn to reconize you as the food source and get excited. My rck always came to greet me whenever I entered the room, even let me pet him during feeding and waterchanges.
