Hi I need some advice my clown loach that I recently got it is acting wierd I had him in a 55 gallon tank and my convict went after him while lights were out I didnt see that one coming so I put him in my 29 gal with some mollies and he seems to be doing okay he is healing nicely But he is turning quite pale like his color is fading he is also acting lethargic kinda keeping to himself and his breathing is very rapid like he is haveing a panic attack I did a water change like 2 days ago and just raised the heat alil and tried to keep the lights off is there any special type of medication that doesnt cost to much that I can get at the local petsmart or petco thanks in advance for any help .

Has he eaten since he was attacked? What are the water parameters? Ph, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate to start off. About half of my loaches have always been pale. How big is yours? There is a controversy about dominance of loaches. The less dominant ones are usually paler. I do believe that. My smaller loaches are the leaders and the older ones, and about ten of the smaller ones are all faded in color. The doms are bright black and orange. Maybe since your guy got beat up, he feels less dominant and may be stressed out too. First we need a little more info about him. :)

I agree. We will need more info as asked above. Don't start treatment without knowing what you are trying to deal with.
