My Colorful Pleco

I got this little guy about 2 months ago from my lfs as a common pleco. When i got him, he was all black with no pattern at all. I have seen a drastic change since i got him. I wish i had taken a pic of him when i got him to compare to now. Tell me what you think!

It's a Pterygoplichthys disjunctivus.

Could just be growing or adjusting to his new home (less stress). Also changes in the tank (gravel(lack of),lights) can also affect him.

if you observe closely the pic on the link you gave and the pic here has some difference, particularly the one from the link has somewhat a pattern that looks like an arrow running along the middle of its body.
