my con is crazy

i have a comunity cichlid tank,

1 oscar 7"
2 dempsey 5 1/2" and 3"
1 blood parrot 4"
2 large comet (survivors)

and then my con,,, 4" he hides all the time, and when he does come out, he twiches and swims eraticly and bumps into things hard as hell, then twiches some more, takes some food from whatever fish he bumps into first (hard as he can) and then runs back to his cave,, is this typical behavior of a con?

there all happy in a 55 with 3 filters goin and weekly water changes,,
so flame on

im just wondering does anyone elses con act like this?

Hi,How long have you had him? If you have had him for a while has he always behaved like this? You carryout weekly PWC have you tested your water lately if so can you post results (not saying there is a problem with your water). Do all your other fish seem normal? Sorry for the grilling just trying to get to the bottom of things, I have twenty+ convicts at the moment ranging from 1/2" fry to 4 1/2" adults and have not seen any behave like this.

Thats strange, i've got 3 2" cons in with some big nasty CA cichlids, Midas, Texas etc... and the Cons are the boss of the tank.

your con may have down syndrome? or he is being aggressive and has something wrong with his jaw? or he is just a wierd con......should take a video of him

i will try to get a vid, he is always hideing,, my nitrates and amonia are fine, ph is good,,, all the other fish are fine,,, i have had him for a month now, and he been like that sence, i believe he is mentaly handycapped.
