my cousin gave me a male convict and i put it inside a 10g with the female convict and now they have eggs. how do i filter the tank without getting the eggs Sucked into the filter?

sponge over the intake of your filter. Also you could just add a sponge filter, let it cycle, then take the other filter off. BTW, they will need bigger than a 10 before too long.
the tens will just be for the frys. im taking the male and female when the fries are hatched and free swimming
Unless you have someone who will take the fries very young I might suggest letting them grow out into a 20gL. For a fry tank whatever other equipment you will have on a 10g will work on this tank. $30 at petsmart. This will give them more growout room. Not that a couple wouldn't do fine in this, but there will be a lot of fry!

where did the convicts lay thier eggs? if it isn't near the intake of the filter it should be fine
