Wel the other day i woke up and got out of bead. I looked around my room at my pets. I then left the room. i came back later and found 100+ baby convicts in my convict tank. THe weird thing is that the male was seperated in a cricket box with slits in it so a current could go through, So that he couldnt abuse the female. Some how they managed to have babies. I dont know if this is normal or not but i just wanted to know a couple possibilities.

Oh i dont know if this is clear but the cricket box is in the tank with the female.

Easily possible. I had 2 separate tanks joined with a water bridge and used a canister filter to circulate water between them. My Red Devil pair spawned through the canister. Not by accident, she laid the eggs near the return pipe and he milted into the intake. I had these at opposite ends for maximum circulation so they would swim apart to do this. I used to watch them do this. Probably hormones and breeding instinct telling them how to adapt.

A while, i feel bad but he'll be out soon; i am moving them to a 20 long with plants so the father cant abuse the mother. ( Hopefully):woot:

I had a pair of females in a tank to themselves - they laid several batches of eggs. Convicts are like little wet rabbits.

no, no other fish with them.
