Hi all! Been a while since I have posted here. But know I am confused! LOL
A friend gave me 2-30 gallon tanks. All the works, all the food and ALL the fish! For Free!!!! Anyways, here is my question! One of the 30's has 6 convicts, 2 fairly large, 3 small, and 1 extra small. They are digging, digging, diggin. The two corners almost completely bare. But no eggs. Any ideas???? There is also a fairly large gourami, and a small albino chocolate pleco.

just a thought but i would try to sex them. and then seperate those two and put them in there own 30(if possible) and maybe throw in a dither ( like a gourami).and turn the heat up to 82 and watch the love flow. oh by the way my convict eggs hatched yesterday yay! anyway hope that works for ya if not post more questions and feel free to ask

Cichlids have a habit of digging. They do it to help establish territories and when they are about to breed. You have probably noticed that there is at least one pair, and they will be very aggressive to the other fish in the tank. Remove them and put them into a seperate tank, for the other fishes protection lol.
