hello all this weekend i bought 6 corydoras paleatus, for my uruguay tank. ive lost 2 of them already i find them sucked to the filter inlet. i dont knw why tho, they were properly acclimated temp is 77degrees, amm 0,nitrites 0, nitrates 10ppm. i feed sinking wafers and pellets and they are in with some tetras and some gymno grow outs andyone have any ideas why this is happening.

Are you quarantining them? Maybe they're sick.

no i actualy didnt qaurantine them i got them from a very reputible store in my local area, all my other fish have come from there with no issues over the years .

Hmmm well that's my first thought. Your water quality is definitely up to par, and you don't mention any external symptoms, and there's not enough time going by for them to be bullied or anything... I'm sure others will have more ideas.

Well, depending on what's going on with them (and we have no idea!), yes, there is a possibility that the other fish could be affected. This is the reason for quarantine in the first place! It would be a good idea to move them to a QT tank, but only if you have a cycled filter... otherwise, unless you did 100% water changes, they'd likely die anyway.

any signs of cloudiness on the eyes, marks, bloating, anything that would hint to what may have happend? more details please!
