yes, delicious blue crabs
those are found in your neck of the woods krich
their hind legs are more like paddles verses the pointy, standard walking legs
Tasty as they may be I don't really care for them.To me they are too much hassle for the amount of meat they contain....Interesting pets though.
Yea I went into an Asian market and saw a box of them piled up..I thought those are beautiful...wonder how they would do in a tank..found very little info on them so this is sort of a learn as you go..so far they are doing great. I did have to rehome my starfish and other smaller hermits...they will mouth everything and eat it.

Oddball posted some good info on the growing of bluecrabs in freshwater awhile back....Apparently they grow well, just no reproduction.

Then find soft shell.......coated in panko and deep fried. Yum!
Soft shell are crabs caught right after they've just molted. Its a small time window before the shell hardens up again.
