Here are some pics of my 10 gallon creek chub tank. The big one is 4-5 in the little one maybe 3. In my creek there are a million of them, but put them in a tank and they become monsters. Anyways theyre pretty cool fish ( i think). I'll get them a bigger tank soon.

That's awesome! There are about 10 small chubs in my tank right now but they are pickerel and crappie food. I caught a 7 inch chub while fishing for the little ones yesterday. It had its spawning horns grown. I've always thought of having a chub tank. They are cool fish. I remember when my bass was little there were huge chubs that I had to take out of my pond because I was worried they would eat him. Those fish grow fast. Thanks for posting this. Really cool.

Nice pic, they are fun fish to watch aren't they? When I had mine they were always moving around. Have they readily accepted pellets or flakes?

No they can get to a decend size, up to about a foot. You'll probably need atleast a 40 breeder.

The chubs do get big and are very active so I would back up Itsadeepbluesea's advice. Used to own them few years ago and make sure that they are not housed with small fishes.

They may never reach 12 inches as that is your max, but it is always best to be prepared just in case. It is tough for a 12 inch fish to turn in a twelve in width.
