Dude, THAT's a LOT of water changes! LOL... Seriously though, everything is looking great. You'll probably find that it'll be hard to get any decent plant growth without enough lumens/watts to do so, but that can easily be upgraded. Anacharis usually does O.K. at those light levels, anyway, so you'll probably be fine. Just remember that decaying plant material will add a considerable amount to your bioload, and you'll want to watch for spikes in water quality if your lights aren't enough.

What are your plans for the future when those carp reach 4 feet?

He mentioned in another post, that his family is in the process of developing an IN GROUND pond, on their property, that these natives will eventually reside in.

LLLLLLuuuuuucccckkkkkyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

we probaly won't start for maybe a couple years, we will just keep upgrading tanks and maybe not make a pond if i get my hands on a big enough tank. i would rather have a huge tank then a pond.

you wont be able to buy a tank large enough, you would have to custom build, like a 800 to 1,000plus gallon tank for a few 4 foot fish. It would definately be easier and cheaper to do the pond

they will not get 4ft in a tank, maybe 20lbs under perfect conditions, but that would take 25 years for them to get that big, they are basiclly koi without color and the crucian can only reach 8lbs in perfect wild conditions, i dought it will grow to half that. thease guys will may reach a few pounds, but feeders reaching 4ft in a tank is unrealistic and if they did it would take over 50 years as they are only a couple inch and the crucian is 8".

Yea , but then thats intentionally stunting the growth of the fish, which will lead to a short life span and a unhealthy specimen.

they will probaly end up in a very large tank atleast a couple hundred gallons, but right now they have all the space they need. they will get upgraded as they grow.
