My Dat just jumped out of the tank!

I just witnessed my dat jump out of the tank into the AC 110 basket. I have been treating him for several white bumps on his pectoral fin. The bumps look like this:

I believe the dat caught this from the Oscar so it is literally the same issue. They have been there for months, and I have already tried Malchite Green (spelling) in case it was ich. For the past 2 days now I have raised the tank temp to around 81-82 and added salt (just the first day), melafix, and pimafix.

It seems as though he has been wanting to swim into the filter output stream. I know this is indicative of ich, but due to the size of the bumps and the fact that there are only 3 spots makes me think its not. Plus it has been going on for awhile now.

do a 50% water change take out all carbon from filters and treat with some ick parasite killer . i would quarintine the noticably sick and treat for 2 weeks. water temp 85 with a tablespoon of salt per 10gallons. do 3 day treatments with an off WC day with 50% water changes on the 4th-7th-15th day and 3 day break from treatment on the 8th-11th day... at least thats what i did but i am paranoid when i get that stuff in my tank. 2 cases of ick in my tank in 11 years.. with no fatalities is pretty good i think.
