Folks, I am gonna take a minute and brag on my 16 year old daughter. She just had her birthday on 9-25. She saved her birthday money, with the exception of getting her fingernails done, and wanted me to take her (let her drive,of course.Lol!) to one of our local fish stores that's about a mile or so from home. When we got there she said she had researched it and already knew what she wanted. She proceeded right straight to the tank and told the guy that she wanted the two Cichla kelberi's that she had picked out already by the time he got there with a net. He stopped and looked at her kinda oddly and asked if she knew that they would get large and were relatively pricey. She used the Latin name of them when she answered and proceeded to tell him more than he knew about the pbass. Size ,habits, water conditions it required, where they and all the other species were found in South America(including which rivers), and if he thought , in his opinion, a 6x2x2' tank that holds 180 gallons would be ok for them for now. My Damn jaw hit the floor right after his.Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed. I have never been so proud of one of my two high school aged daughters ever. She's not the type of person, looks wise(she's very pretty and well put together like my wife), that you'd think would know anything about fish. Much less pbass. All I can say is wow. By the way the fish are eating well and seem to be doing great. Thanks.
