Nice.I tried something similar but it did'nt turn out well.
 
cool, i have some dead fish in my freezer waiting the same traetment, how did you do it

I laid a fish carcass on the ground in the yard and placed a large board over it so that the ants could clean it completely but something managed to get it from underneath the board and carry it off.

i just cut the lower jaw off the fish and then hung the jaw in the garage.

I have a big armatus and tat in the freezer and I want the whole skeleton preserved though.I would have them taxidermied but it costs much too much.
 
Hydrogen Peroxide works wonders. It'll come out bone white with nothing left on it. The only thing though is that if you leave it in too long, the teeth, bones etc., will get loose and you'll have to glue the skeleton back together.

Regular 3% drug store h2o2 peroxide or something stronger.
I have 6 or 7 scombs and 2 big cuda's in the fridge. I have been looking for a mess of fire ants for months,,,lol
