One of my four del's went up to the surface and ate a piece of jumbo krill that I left for my indo dat. Anyone ever had bichirs eat from the surface before?

Maybe I can possibly train them to eat food from the surface:popcorn:

my senagalus is very active.
and the fish always swims.
from above til down, this fish just swims most of the time on the surface.
he is swimming very fast around 8hours at day en also some hours at nigth.
this bichir eats out my hand on the surface and even came sometimes out the the water when I looked!.
he always eats at the surface.
for me it's a dayly thing this fish out of my hand.

My senegal is always at the top rarely ever at the bottom, he is also very active but also justs sits at the top.

i have got my seng to eat frozen blood worms from my hand at the serfice

I have floating plants in my tank, so my senegals constantly stay in that. The rest usually stay at the bottom. When I put goldfish into the tank however, and the goldfish try and hide in it, my bichirs love ambushing them in there.

My endlis prefer eating cichlid bio gold from the surface rather than massivore on the bottom of the tank.

I'm sure it's because I raised them eating floating pellets and didn't try massivore till they were already 10"

My senegalus eats from the surface. When the sinking shrimp pellets don't sink quickly enough, he'll go up to get them.
