My dels are pretty much inactive, and only move rarely, althought they do become extremely active once feeding time comes around. They're so inactive, which is strange, because they are suppose to be semi-active. They're as lazy as the other lazy species bichirs.

They become beasts during feeding time.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with them.
Water parameters are in top shape.
They are housed with a Pimelodus blochii(Four-lined cat), an indo dat, and that's it. Nobody picks on anybody.
I have 6 bichirs total. 4 Del's, 1 weeksii, 1 senegal.
They're in a 75g tank.

Does anybody have any idea what's going on here?

Mine are the same way, but they don't even get active during feeding time. I think it comes down to individuality of the fish. My senegals and ropes are the only active ones in my tank. The delhezis, ornate and palmas pollis spend most of the time hiding in the shadows of the driftwood.

Just lazy individuals, or perhaps they're nervous of the top dwelling fish.

Mine's very quiet too, even at feeding he often just pops his head out of a hidey hole and then decides he can't be bothered.
