Hello people,

I am Nick from the Netherlands. At the moment I'm watching the MFK Forum a lot, especially the stingray section. Today I was looking around in the discus and angelfish section and thought I can share my former thank with you. Had to sell all of them because I moved to Surinam. I am living here for 6 months for an internship. When I'm home I will start again with keeping fish.

Enjoy! :)

You don't see too may people stocking aros and discus together. All the fish looks great. Well done

Thanks all! When I introduced the aro at 20cm the discus where already adult and the same size as the arowana. He never short any aggression against the discus or other fish except for the 40 rummy nose tetra's that where in there haha

It's an unusual combination, but it works great. The slow moving arrow and discus are in harmony, and the elongated shape of the arrow contrast the discus circular shape. The water chemistry for arrow and discus are actually similar as both came from Amazon soft water region. The only thing you have to watch out is water quality and food. Discus need absolutely clean water, and arrow are big and messy eater that can pollute the water quickly. I hope you are not feeding your arrow with life food which can post more disease risks to your discus than arrow.

beautiful tank

Very nice! I would love to see some more low growing plants in there. Excellent setup.

Guess I don't read the thread... Hope you set this up again. What size tank was that?
