I am having bad luck with my tanks as of late (invert deaths, now this.)
I had my PB discus for a year, it was 4 inches and was the "main attraction" of my planted hex.
Anyways, it was free because it was sick when I got it. It got better in my tank with lots of water changes, varied food, and a temp of 82 (was being kept in 76 water at LFS!) I didn't see this coming, it was fine yesterday, today dark and dead.
Everything else in the tank is fine (inverts included.)
My tank looks really empty now, just a school of neons, plants, shrimp, and snails. I don't know if I want to get another discus, seeing as the ones at the LFS are crap and a good one is at least $65 shipped to me (for a 2 inch PB.)
Anyways, I'm just depressed about the whole thing and feeling like a ****ty fish keeper right now. I'm about ready to tear down the 35 forever.
