My diy canopy

so im building a canopy (for the 180/ 60x24)

1x8's
1x6's
plywood 3/8 bc
finishing nails
paint(inside high gloss white
stain(outside
fluresent light kits x 3
misc elec ..wires/boxes/switches
handles/hinges
85 bucks later

heres what ill be using for lighting

i cut 1x8's and nail the back and two sides together

then on the inside i framed it out w/ 1x6's to hold the canopy on top of the tank and have the top fit inside

some high gloss paint on the inside

and heres some stain

so what do you think?

Not really. I doubt you could buy that for $85

but... ummm.. post 1 pics 5 and 6... looks like it sits a bit too high and does not cover the top trim.. or am i just seeing it wrong?

thanks alot, as soon as it dries ill put it up and take a pix,

im gonna make some cuts in the back for ventilation and room for a hob if i decide to use on

it wont completely cover the trim but im working on some thing to match the trim up

i was surprised to spend 85$ but it was not even close to what it would cost new.

besides i can say i diy and thats priceless
(i sound like a credit card commercial LOL)
