My DIY PVC Overflow; How's my pluming???

Looks good. The only thing left is to install the check valve in the top of the pipe where it goes over the tank.

Yea, I got those but haven't put them in yet.
Also considering getting a couple Aqualifters.

Drill a small hole near the top of the pipe that first enters the tank..

notgood lookin out.. drilling a hole in the overflow will make it not restart when the power comes back on... aka it will turn from an overflow into a syphon.. if the problem pipe was taller and at the water line (like it should be) there would be no problem..

I want the water line to be about 3-4 inches from the top.
My fish keep banging their heads.
It's a 220.
