My Diy stand,sump,canopy

Well I am like a lot of others on MFK that like to do stuff my self so I started my stand and sump for my new 135gal tank that is 48x36x18.This tank is for my Polypterus. The stand is made of 2x6s and the top had a sheet of 3/4 in ply but after being stood up on an acrylic tank I went and ordered a glass tank from Lemar so now I have 3 3/4in sheets of ply on the top reason being is the top is larger then the base or actual stand i wanted the stand to look like a pedestal.the stand is not done yet I still need to finish the trim work and the door

so as for my sump I went and got a 40gl breeder tank from petco and made a biotower for it thanks Chompers I am finishing the diy overflow in the next few days trying to get this done by the 14th. I went for the 1 1/4 in pvc for some good flow

and a shoot of the tanks the 180gl on the left i will have to move to the right side so the new tank can go in its place

Well I got my DIY overflow water tested and got some paint on it,I also got my DIY spray bar for the FX5 almost done the 14th cant get here fast enough.

This is very, very cool. I am a bit shocked that you haven't had anyone else chime in. Well done and can't wait to see the progress.

krylon Fusion satin I was going to use flat black but I did not like the way it looked under water,and by the way if you need sand you should look at my thread (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=384819 ) as I know it will be asked in a few days by others

ha ha I went and picked up my tank today, I have to say lee mar makes a good product. the black silicon looks great, this thing is very heavy it is 1/2in glass all around now the fun begins

well I got the 1st 2 coats on the tank today going to look sweet. I will be moving the 180 to the other wall today aswell so I can get the new tank up and running
