My dojo

I bought a golden dojo loach after seeing a friend have one. They were so bizarre so I just had to get one. Now ever since I bought it it has been so hyperactive!! It hardly sits still for a minute! My friends dojo hardly ever moves above the ground. Is something up with my dojo? Here some pics he couldn't stand still!!

You should be fine as long as your water is fine. He may just be adjusting and exploring or just an active dojo.

They're just like that. Totally bonkers. Mine rarely sit still for more than 2 seconds, unless completely burrowed in the sand.

They are schooling fish and he will want some friends. My two barely every sit still for long. I am definitely adding a golden one or two to the pack soon!

Some are lazy and some are hyper. My brown one is more laid back while the golden I had was crazy. She would come straight up to the top to be fed and do half flips out of the water. Saddens me she's gone but am looking for another one.
