my dorado has been everywere.

Mean sob. i had him in a 220 with my arrow/tarpon/pbass/stingray/2gars/oscar/clown and royal clown knife. 2 fish he did not like was tarpon and arrow . beat the crap out of them so i moved him to 125 were he was terrorizing my exodons and red devil/ so then i moved him to my 75 were he killed my fahaka and beat the tar out of my pike. hes about 9 inches and mean as hell. i do have another big tank but its going to be used for my payara tank. i do not know what to do with this mean ass. I dont want to get rid of him cause there almost impossible to find around here and if i ever wanted one again it would cost me around 150.00 from shark aquarium for fish and ship. finally have happy places for all my fish except him

Please post a pic of it. I did not kno what a Dorado fish was, then did a search and all I get is this huge SW fish. If thats what you have then how the heck is he with FW fish Sorry, I am still Ignorant with fish

don't sell it, dorados are awesome. For now stick it in the 125 and let it do it's thing, a dorado is a far better fish than exodons/RDs.

hey redest wing. u can do a search on here in the photo lounge or u can search the web . just search freshwater dorado instead of just dorado. and ya rumble i think i will just let him stay were he is but im going to have to take the exodons in soon hes killed 2.

I'd keep the dorado. Not sure where you are, but they are non existant out here where I am.

Dorado like to school and when you have on by himself with no other dithers he will kick everyone's arse. Try getting a couple more to put in with him or some other dithers such as big tinfoil barbs or some brycons, etc.

ya i did have 3 and i sold 2 with my last tank and i talked to my buddy that i sold them to and i guess one has outgrew the other 2 by 5 inches. he says hes like 14 to 15 inches now so i am going to buy both of them back and get rid of my exos and rd in the one tank and just run the dorados in there. ill post pics as soon as i get them back.. but as far as schooling goes it really doesnt matter once they hit that mean stage they will f up everything in the tank with them.
