My Dorados seem to be pickey eaters can someone tell me what can i feed them they cant turn down

Mealworms. Next would be smelt. Also try floating food like freeze dried krill.

They need time to settle. Anytime they are moved they may take up to a week to get comfy enough to start a regular feeding regimine.

agreed!mealworms!
my last one hated shrimp and fish and wouldnt even touch feeders.
but it loved mealworms and sinking carnivore pellets(basically smaller massivore).

thanks for the help
I'm glad you finally got some,I know you've been after them for a while.I agree with DB.In the beginning mine would chase down feeders but I stopped giving feeders early on and then they took freeze dried krill from the surface[size appropriate]as well as floating cichlid pellets once they soften enough. It's quite a sight to see them rocket to the surface and snatch a food item.

The truth! When I had my shoal of 5 in a 40 gallon I'd go 2-3 days without feeding, then drop Hikari pond pellets in there and the water looked like it was boiling. They'd just go nuts. I had the waters surface about 3 inches below the lids and they would come entirely out of the water at times. Coolest feedings I've ever experienced. Always walked away just soaked from all the splashing. They really do need to be fed frequently though due to their extremely high metabolism. I learned the hard way as I had my largest turn on and kill the smallest. I believe this was due to feedings not occuring as often as they should be. Keep them well fed and they can prove to be very trouble free.

Thanks again I picked up 10 from Jeff they like guppies and krill .
WoW cant wait to see pics of this shoal. The guppies stay at the top mostly, give them less and less guppies while adding floating pellets.
