Finally my pair has wigglers! after trying to let them be with out divider, she layed and then I droped in a divder for him, because he seems to be a bit of a prick lol
Well it worked!

Will the fry now strengthen there bond? When should I pull the divder?

Any advice appreciated.

If you have wrigglers and the divider is down, then leave it. if you pull it now, the female will see him as a threat and one will die. id leave the divider, the fry will swim back and forth between parents. after you pull fry later down the road then you can try again without the divider for the pair. Congrats on the fry:)

I have seen it go all ways with pairs. The female thinks the male is a threat and guards the fry, the male sees the female as a threat and guards the fry, they both guard the fry, one fans the eggs while the other is close by,....I don't think anyone can predict the actions of pairs. As soon as you think you know it all about the pair they switch it up. This is with multiple pairs and with each spawn it is different at different times.....who knows!!

True but i like playing it safe with large predatory fish, it can get quite expensive to ship replacements to Alaska:) hes more than welcome to try it.

Thanks every one, im going to just leave up the divder amd let the fry frow. Its amazing how the female uses the male to fertalize but after wont let him get near them lol
