I bought 4 F0 Dovii in March. they were all around 1.5"-2"ea and now my biggest male, 4.5" inches, and the biggest female, 3.5", have spawned in a 75gal tank. I have 2 other Dovii in there that I have on a bid for "pick up only" on Ebay that should be going away tomorrow when it closes out and a pair of RT Motas in there as well. The RT's are going to have to move to another tank for the time being. I am going to the store to see if I can buy a light grate from Menards to make a divider for the time being. I could tell they have been getting ready to spawn for the last month but no eggs. I did a 90 percent water change the night before they spawned. Did this have something to do with the final outcome?

yes water changes do help alot but i still think they were pretty quick to start spawning. where did yu get 4 Fo dovii?

Forest lake pets in Forest Lake, MN. They order in tons of wild fish. I bought them along with a pair of F0 RT Motas and four F0 Festae. It was around a $160 day for me at the pet store. I was impresed by how small they are as well. Horny bastards! Anyone want to trade for some Umbees for my offspring?

Is it just me, or does the dovii look like he might be a hybrid (putting aside the fact that he was sold as "wild") I think the face markings are throwing me off. Or are those just breeding marks?

She darkens up like that when in dark places. Here is a picture from a couple of months ago of her at a younger age. Shes the top fish along with my RT mota pair and male Jag on the bottom.
