The female laid eggs and the male fertilized them, he is being a dick to her, i was wondering what everryone thinks about me taking her out of the tank and putting her in her own tank, do you think it will ruin the bond that they have with each other? or do think that it is the right thing to do, i don't want her to die

their is the chance that it could ruin the pair bond. your best bet is a partial tank divider with holes large enough for the female to get through but too small for the male to get through. this way you can have them both in the same tank, and the female will have somewhere to retreat to if the male gets too rough.

yah, i figured that much thanks for the reassurance

congrats I was thinking about finding a female and trying the same in the future when i get a bigger tank. Breeding Dovii in a 90 is a scary thought :screwy:

yah i wouldn't do unless you want everyone else dead :)

still gotta find the digi cam

You can probably keep them in the same tank. Just put a few pieces of bog wood in a corner for a hiding place. I have 2 pair of breeding dovii. one pair in a 90, and the other in a 240. The male in the 90 pics on the female all the time, so she hides alot. pics would be good

Don't need to take her out, but to assure a place to her to get away from him. An incomplete divider, or some sort of refuge is fine IMO. Pics would be nice... :D

Best regards.

Daniel.

we demand pics
