Hi all,

I had this pair of Dovii (not sure which strain they belong to) since they were 2" in Nov 2012.

And last night/this morning, the female gave me a surprise :nilly: my first batch of eggs :headbang2

The male at 5"

Some of them have already turned white (which is expected for a first time pair?) I would greatly appreciate advise from the many Seniors here how to get my first batch of wranglers :)

Just let the parents do the work. Start feeding the fry once they are free swimming for a little while, maybe 5 days or so. They will feed of algae in the tank for a long time. There will always be some eggs that don't get fertilized, don't be surprised if the parents eat the eggs or fry the first few times they spawn. It usually takes new parents a little while to get it down.

Thanks NWatson :) the eggs were gone this morning :( coz I was catching out another cichlid yesterday but at least I know they are ready and I will be prepared for my next brood

Congrats!!
