Ok, so my dream tank would include an arowana, a snake head, a pike cichlid and some catfish for the bottom of the tank.... Do you think that this tank would ever work? like would the fish get along or will this forever be a "dream" tank???

what you COULD do is get rid of the arowana, snakehead, and pike cichlid and get some catfish :D !

Haha that's my dream tank. Snake heads are super aggresive arent they?

yeah very agressive, also get very lage, it probally could eat a gull size aro, 24''
plus

yeah, i want catfish, i used to catch them and keep them as pets when i was younger, but they mostly stay to the bottom and besides i really like the other fish... i have had both the aro and the pike (not at the same time though, i only recently got the aro and the pike i sold because it was too big for my tank...) but would these fish work together with perfect size differences????

For one if n y stands for New York then Snakeheads are illegal out of the question.
With that said a Silver or Black Aro could work with a larger Pike Cichlid and a 18-24 inch cat like a Marbled Achara Cat.

it does, but would the snakeheads work in that tank???? there are still ways of getting snakeheads in new york... and besides, who knows, i might move one day... i just want to know if this tank is possible...

Aren't there some snakeheads that aren't mean? Or are they the ones that are too small to live with an Arowana? Pike cichlids don't get that big either do they?

they are all mean for the most part. but the small ones could live with aros. aros don't do much to eat long fish.

id say this tank won't work because the snakehead will rip the pike in half and the aro would be next. they do a cool little death roll if the fish is too big to swallow. but the aro is especially attractive fish food to the SH.

why not just keep wolf fish on the bottom? florida gars in the middle? arowana on top?
