I woke up this morning to find my dog eating my fire eel.
I don't know how the eel even got out of the tank, I've screened over all spaces around the spraybar, intake tube, HOB, even screened off the HOB because the eel used go into the filter.
Anyway, I am really sad about this, everything in my 75 was geared toward making the eel happy; from the sand I just put in to the cave I built for him.
I really miss it. It was hard to pick him up off the floor and toss him away in the trash.
He was 20 inches long, I measured him before I threw the body away.
DH is not sympathic at all. He just laid into me about how I should get rid of the 75 because "obviously you are having some major problems."
All I could do was cry, I mean I just lost a pet, but to him it is just another one of my "stupid fish".
I don't think I'm going to get another eel, at least not anytime soon.
I really miss him!!!!
