iv had him for a week now and cant get him to eat tryed hplding food in frony of him live feeders peice o shrimp laying in the tank but nothing workd,,,any ideas

What kind of eel? Eel can refer to many species, both true eels and fish that aren't remotely related.

try 'LIVE' blood worms, or cut up some earth worms-yes, like bait shops and Wallmart sells... works EVERY time!
