Looks pretty good. I recently put mine and his mate up for sale, pretty shocked no one has inquired.
the one on top in the pic has developed a small beak.. I love the other one.. his gf looks like she might be ready ...
also the one on top... i thought might have a chance at female.. The fins are noticeably rounded off compared to the large male... what y'all think?
EBJD are pretty hard to sex. Just have to toss a known female in and you should find out if you have a male. But if you have one with a bit of beak I'd not breed it.
yes.. don't plan on breeding the beak fish. i've put a "what i think " is a female jd in the tank.. so we will have to see what happens.. The reg jd is more than less than half the size.. and they seem to be getting along pretty well.. havn't seen any lip locks or anything.. but some playful stuff i guess.
