hey guys!!:D
Today when i walked into my room i realized that my endi's head was burried under my subtstrate. Startled, i used a net to try and see if it was dead but indeed it was quite alive!:) My endi is only about 3 inches and has cool stripes. My question is, is this normal behavior for this certain type poly species and is this a form of hiding like stingrays? thanks for all future replies

Yeah it's pretty normal especially with endlis. I'm not sure about the other species but I know dels do the same from time to time also. It's probably hiding to probably feel more secure or maybe a hunting tactic. I'll test out the latter someday with live fish.

Very normal for juvie endli's.

Mine are about the same size as yours, and do it if one of my other fish darts by and startles them, or at feeding time as a predatory tactic.

I agree, when my endi was 5 inches I really paniced one day when I could not find him in my tank. Sometime later I spotted two eyes sticking up;)
