I got my Endli at 3" on August 15th 2010. He was very picky on food and barely ate for the first months, and because of that obviously didn't grow much. For the last couple of weeks I have been feeding him like crazy and he is gaining much girth and is slowly passing the 10" mark. He is 10-11" now.
Just thought I would make him a thread to show how he has grown, slowly. But what an amazing fish, definitely my favorite in the tank.

When I got him. August 2010 at 3-4".

What do you think of my big guy?

Looking great! It's interesting how different Polys of the same species can grow at different rates. My smallest Endli is my oldest Endli. At over 3 years, he's about 10.5" Whereas the other 2 I bought a year later are around 12"-13.5" and they started off smaller than my first Endli:eek:

Nice.Endli dude, love the growth and girth on these guys.

Nice looking bichir.

Yeah I love his pattern.

looking good gotta love the growth rate on them
Yes, depends on the individual though.

Thanks, I'm glad that he grew this slow, because my tank is only 20" wide and I have smaller tankmates with him and I wouldn't like them to be eaten. I'm thinking about getting another Endli if I can find one. It will be fun to see if he can catch up with the big guy.

Nice looking Bichir ! Congrats!
Thanks.
