ok so my endli (george) is about 13" and about 3" across   (no little fish) and has been feeding on the culls from my fish hatchery all summer now that I am at college for another fun filled year i can not get him to go back to silversides... last year he switched with no problem.... feeding him feeders is not a problem the prblem is that he eats over around 65-75 of them a week :WHOA: and I tried getting fish and killing them but for some reason the sadistic fish will not eat ANY that he did not kill so for now I am keeping the local fish stor in buisness with a 50+ feeder order a week any one that has any ideas let em fly! lol and I will get some pics of george up here soon

As street cypher stated a healthy fish will not starve itself to death and they can go quite a while without food also.bichirs build up a layer of fat they can live off of for several weeks if needed.
One trick I have used in the past is to place the defrosted silversides in plants with their tails poking out.Iused it to get Lapoff his hunger strikes.
or used a feeding stick placethe defrosted food on the end and wiggle it to appear to be live food-Anne
P.S> feed it everyother day will cut ack on food bills and be more healthy for the fish the sad truth is we tend to overfeed our fish

Have you tried market prawns or earthworms? They could help bridge the gap to frozen silversides.

Yah...I agree that a lil forced diet may be in order. Worked great for my endi, gars and dats that were stubborn on feeders. They're all on market shrimp and squid that I cut and freeze as a staple now

he is deffinately a stubburn SOB last night he was agressivly chasing a feeder and jumped putting a HUGE crack in my 1/4 inch glass top other then that I am going to starve him he is lathargic lol and fat after he eats thanx for the help... anyone have any endli this big or bigger???
