I am ALWAYS getting questions on Jewel Cichlids. I have been breeding them for years now and have it down to a science on care etc. here is my oldest pair (Busta & Nitro) Busta is 6 inches nitro is 5... Busta has WAY BETTER colors during breeding...
The male (busta) turns BRIGHT RED!

I FINALLY got my lima shovelnose to actually eat stuff other then feeders! SO HAPPY!

Can I see a pic of your sun cat next to a ruler? I've had mine ever since I started the hobby, he eats lots of krill and nls and gets weekly wc on his 120 and he's only 6 inches. How'd yours get so big?

It was rescued by me at 13 inches... The people got it that big... So this is its third (and permanent) home. It could technically be 10+ years old... And there is no way to do a ruler currently because he hides under 300-400 pounds of rocks but i DO have pics of when we were transporting him from the guys house to mine... I gotta find them though... I do not remember what computer i downloaded them onto...
