yeah , I would lose the island and go deeper fa sho . channel cats get big they'll need all the gallons they can get .

Make the part to the right of the island bigger, if it's that small you'll have trouble putting a liner in there and the fish won't use that part of the pond, so you'd waste space. I would dig the whole pond 2 feet deeper and add another 5 feet to the right of the island. That would be a sick pond.

I'd say take the island out or much much smaller and go 2-3 feet deeper.

It's 2 foot deep now and can't go any wider because my side walk goes around it but I was thinking take the island out and its hard to go any deeper because I hit clay and hand digging that stuff sucks
