My evil looking fei feng!

took a pic of my flagtail the other day and he looks evil! Love his high dorsal and his bright yellow tail. It's the colombian varient insignis that i got from dangerous dan (tropical imports ik) as a little baby and he's now a 9" monster. Doesn't care for algae, this guy loves his shrimp!!

you got an awesome specimen... the LFS around me sell em for 20$ for a 3" fish with no color in the tail. I want to buy a colorful one like yours... i guess i'll have to wait until i see the perfect fish.

most fish in the store doesnt show their true colors man.
i got 1 ff around an inch and a half with no red no stripe on tails and fins...
look at him after a month only..

i dont think u need to "wait for the perfect fish" i think u can grow one out

Marvin, great lookin fish man! Its not very common to see the yellow tails, so cheerish it dearly!! Definately a gorgeous fish, and the title couldn't be any further from the truth. Peaceful giant more like it. Great fish!!

They are pretty fast growers I think, especially if you give them a varied diet. Mine eats algae, algae wafers, Forumla Two Pellets, mysis, bloodworms, and Hikari Marine -A-. Great fish, mind their own business. Only sucky thing is that as they grow they lose their spots....wish they kept them longer. When I got mine it had no color in the tail, now its turning bright crimson red, LOVE it. Definately get one if you have the chance!
