i have one exotic pet...well it may not even really be considered an exotic anymore....but here is a pic of my bebe Swirrell

his previous owner didnt have time for poor little baby. She gave him to me around early last August...soo cute. Ive taken care of him and he is doing great...lol awesome okay...

Haha, here at MFK -- anything that doesn't breathe underwater would be considered as exotic. ;)

IMO they arent too hard. they require calcium supplements, lots of out of cage time, um...mine eats sugar glider food, baby food, fruits and vegetables, mealworms, crickets, juices, and occasionally raisins. they have an odor which some people do not like (personally i think u get used to it after awhile). um...they require lots of space and mine goes to college with me...they are highly bonding animals.

Arent you scare that he might just take off on you while your in class?
 
nope, he stays in his little bag. they are nocturnal. it isnt really a ferret odor, more like a male cat odor. the males also produce a sweet smelling odor during mating season. that one smells okay. but i have no worries about him running around in class at night, he crabbed (made noise) when i first got him becuase i bumped hm while getting up during class and the teachers were interested.
