So after going fishing and having my brother catch one of these lil guys
I was inspired to add natives to my collection, the only problem is my space, my tanks are a 55, 75 and another 55. first 55 is my EBJD's so can't go there, second 55 is my mom's mbuna tank... no option there and i already asked her if i could turn it into a native tank, that leaves the 75 which houses my female flower horn.. space wise this is the only option because she will be the only fish in there soon. My plan is to divide the tank in half with clear acrylic with the FH on one side and the lil green sunny on the other, I'll leave them like that for as long as i see fit, and experiment with lifing the divider until they (hopefully) get along with each other.
Other details:
Temp will be at around 77 degrees Fahrenheit
and i will do what is right for both fish, no matter what happens, so no returning of the Green to the river, and no letting them kill each other.
Feel free to leave your opinions about this, im hoping this can be informative for people that love both types of fish, and i've never seen records of this being successful, but we'll see how it goes.
and for the record, the FH has never shown any extreme aggression yet, just rough breeding (I think) behavior with my female jack, who wants nothing to do with breeding with another female-
