my fading flowerhorn project. comments please

well i dieceded to make a run at a fading zz so gimme ur opions on him.
my female <the mother> is 6 inches and i made her myself through some breedings
i picked one of my normal zz as a father
the fry is almost 2 iches and completly faded. my first attempt none of the fh faded but this time i already have some. notice the white flowermarkings still

I asume the mother has Red Devil in here? The fader looks nice more JK looking than ZZ though and still has the long snout of the mother trade mark RD. In future breedings I would select a fish with more square mouth and try to breed that trate out. Thanks for the share what about some of the others how did they come out?

the mother's father was a shortbody reddevil <i think a hybrid also because i don't see to many shortbody's> so you were right on sir!

i had a couple keepers. i had two flowerless ones with lots of pearls. im seperating them from the rest also and hopefuly put up pics soon. but besides this fader and 1 others, plus the 2 pearlies, i might only keep 3 of the nicer normal zz to see if they fade, after all every fish i have had that faded later always turned out nicer. culls are aways sad but at least i can start my next project sooner and i can concentrate on the 7 nicer fish from this batch
there was more faders then that but they faded crappy, lossing flowermarkins and pearls and what not. they got culled imidiantly, bc thoose are what i want my fish to retain while fading so i didn't want their genes to go on
