i have 2 hujeta gars 1 exodon 1 blue gill and 1 large goldfish in with my 8 inch fahaka and he doesnt bother any of them so i put my 8 inch bowfin in there and he takes a nip out of the rear fin as soon as i put him in tank so i took him back out and back in the 180 but fahaka doesnt bother any of the smaller fish unless there 1 inch and under then he will eat them. so far he will not take market shrimp or crab legs or mussels only krill and snails and if i give him a full size crayfish he only eats the tail and leaves the rest. so i think im going to starve his ass until he eats some of the other stuff.

funny how most fahaka's are like that it's almost as if they are smart enough to know which fish are harmless and which may create problems...They make sure they let those trouble makers know whos boss....I love them they are so smart
every FISH period is different the 1st fahaka I had lived in a community tank and cichlids and silver dollars and gar up until she died at about 8in. my second Fahaka who was famously known around here as Fred COULD NOT BE KEPT WITH ANYTHING

I once dropped a saucer size common snapping turtle in with him (it was my ex-girlfriends turtle she pissed me off) and he went RIGHT FOR HIM and started taking chuncks out of the top of his shell
