My Fall Collection.....of feeders:D

These are invasive exotic cichlids that can be found in most Florida Waterways.

It takes me at least an hour to drive to the LFS and pay anywhere from 15 to 25 cents each for feeders. I can't stock up on LFS bought feeders as most of them die after the first couple of days.

I collect these from the backyard lake. This tank have the surplus cichlids from yesterdays collection trip. Took me about an hour to catch them. There are Uropthalmus, tilapias, and jewels, in this tank. The surplus mosquito fish(es) are in a bigger tank.

It's great fun tracking them down, catching them, and feeding them to my monsters. The best part is it's free.:headbang2

LOL! HELL YEA! and feeding those are healthier for the fish too instead of using goldfish!

Are those for the temensis? :D

Yes sir, and a few of the local PBs I'm growing out, and a couple of monster sized PB I'm keeping.

The Tems are now about 6 inches and split between 2 tanks.

Not for the Peacock Bass. They go from the collection bucket to the tank of the PBs. Any leftover are kept in an aerated tub or tank for subsequent days feeding.

A few are kept in a filtered/aerated tank for quarantine for feeding later to some breeding Angels.
