Unfortunately, he's incredibly shiny, and dulling the flash dulls his appearance and makes him look yellow and dirty :( He's a stunning, clean pearly white, just as a polit should be :)

That is an awesome fish. Where do you get a fish like that? My LFS(s) only carry the common cichlids and rarely anything uncommon and never anything that cool.

I gave up on buying Africans from the store. I now get all of mine from online breeders, or from friends who got them from online breeders. This guy came from a friend who had an extra male in his group.
