My Female Fahaka

Was cleaning her tank a while back and took this shot, still does not show how big she really is. I had to take the pic myself and came out at an odd angle.

She is 17.5 inches lol I need to get a better pic.

Next time she is out, I will use a tape to show her size.

How big can they actually grow? I know it's supposed to be about 17" but obviously we're beyond that.

I have seen/ heard of Fahaka's being 18 + inches. Not very common though. I got this girl years ago at about the 12 inch mark. I thought she was done growing, but she just kept growing. Now she almost touches the front and back of her 150 gallon tank. I am looking for a wider one as we speak.

You can't really. The only reason I know she is female, is that she has laid eggs twice for me.

Very nice monster, Kev. Have you tried her with tiny tankmates, like cardinals or something small enough she would ignore?
