My green sunfish has taken quite a liking to my female festae. As odd as it sounds they seemed to have paired up. No lip locking but they are always together. The sunfish shows off to her every chance he gets and she is digging out a pit under a piece of driftwood. These two really are entertainig :grinno: Here are some pictures of this odd couple.

That is odd and funny. Doubt they could actually breed succesfully, but if they could that would be some interesting fry.
They both are awsome.

LOL I dont blame him, she's hot! Nice female Sandy, she looks bigger than 5" tho. She would look better with this male;) although he may need a month to pass her up, he is right at 4.75-5" your girl looks closer to 6" this is my largest bachelor in the 180. he has to contend with a much larger male so he is a lil subdominant.

He looks great. Can't wait until April! He will definitely make a much better boy toy for her than my silly green sunfish lol. Thanks for the pictures :)

Well I guess even in the fish world you don't chose love, love chooses you LOL!!!! I have a Green Terror male that has paired up with a White Lab. They are from two different continents and have two different ways of breeding but they are inseparable. Which sucks for me cause I am down a female White Lab cause the males do not even try to shake it for her.
