My female FH RIP.

Maybe some of you guys could understand my sadness because all of us are into the same, but today my Female fader FH died and im really gutted.

About one week ago I commited the mistake to overfed her, she had already eaten pellets and i thought an extra protein would make no harm so I took some of the beef heart i feed my turtles and tossed some pieces of it to the FH's.



I was luky enough my male didn't eat the beefheart but female did eat some pieces and got indigested.

She couldn't recovered and died today.

Sometimes I feel Im really stupid for feeling bad about a fish dead but im sure you guys understand me. :cry::cry:

Now my male is alone, i dont plan to replace his couple, I may keep him solo for now on.
 
Sorry. I try to avoid feeding my fish terrestrial proteins. I don't think they can digest them properly.
 
You can when they are developed but in the case of juvenile FH it isn't recommendable at all, I learned the bad way, maybe misguided and baised by my prev. experience with pinanha and oscar keeping, those bastards are eating machines, speccially oscars, they pretty much eat everything you toss into the tank.
 
Sorry for your loss. That female showed some good potential in the hump department. How old was she?
 
sorry to for loss. its amazing how much you become attached to youre fish. people aways tell me "you like keeping fish" i always tell them i love keeping fish
