My female flowerhorn laid eggs today!

How long is the gestation period?

*the last picture of my female is when she was in my 75g. She is in the 40g, just laid sometime today. I just divided the male and female because they began to fight.

3 to 4 days then become wigglers and she moves them. anouther 3 to 4 days and they become free swimmers, long as they are not eaten first.

I just saw the eggs as I saw them beginning to fight. She got some cuts on her lip from the fight. Was i right to seperate them right away? I'm unsure of if or if he didn't fertilize the eggs.

they will turn snow white if not fertile, they look good to me. separating the male after spawn a common practice.

Your male look abit young to breed though.
Finger cross though. In two days if dark dots is noted you know youve scored.

Well they have yet to turn snow white (except about 5)

Look for wigglers today, hope they don't all get eaten by the other fish in the tank...
