My Festaes have arrived

Got them in this morning. They arent really showing any aggression towards each other yet. Some have some red already on the tails and fins. You will also notice that I caved and got a cuban cichlid. I just couldnt help myself I may use my 75 for the pike and cuban once the 150 is up... Total fish 5-festaes, 1 cuban

its probly to early and they are probly too young but i noticed that 2 of the festaes are always around each other and dont swim with the other 3.
 
florida tropical fish direct is a great company. they have a good selection and great customer service. I will do business with them again when i wanna get another fish if i do
 
Yes, be prepared for a few false calls when it comes to sexing and spotting any possible pairs as they mature. One day you'll swear you have a male and then the next it looks like it may be a female. They tend to chase and fight amongst themselves a lot too. Friends today can be enemies tomorrow. Just enjoy watching them grow and mature. That is entertaining and rewarding enough. Getting a pair is just icing on the cake!
 
i would get a divider ready or have a spare tank set up to move the weakest when they start going after each other good luck hopr u get a pr
 
Not really too sure, but I don't think you would want a pair out of them because they are from the same source and could potentially be from the same spawn, which could be genetic issues if they were to produce spawn.
